1. In short

  • This site uses one tool that requires your consent: Google Analytics 4, to know how many people reach the site and from where.
  • It is not loaded until you accept it. If you refuse, no request is sent to Google and no cookie is set.
  • We use no advertising or profiling cookies, we show no ads, and we do not share data with third parties.
  • The typefaces are hosted on our own server: opening the page does not make your browser request them from Google or anyone else.
  • Nothing on the site stops working if you refuse.

2. Cookies and local storage

A cookie is a small file a site saves in your browser and that is sent back on every visit. Alongside cookies, browsers offer other storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — which works in a similar way but does not travel with requests.

The law makes no distinction: Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code refers to «information stored on the device», so it covers both. That is why everything is listed in the table below, including what technically is not a cookie.

3. What is stored on your device

NameTypeSet byPurposeDuration
qc_consent_v1 Local storage This site Remembers the choice you made on the banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Written whether you accept or refuse. Until you change it or clear the site data
qc_campaign_v1 Session storage This site Keeps where the visit came from (the utm parameters of the link you followed) so it is attributed correctly. Written only if you accept. Until you close the tab
_ga Cookie Google Analytics Distinguishes one visitor from another. Set only if you accept. 24 months
_ga_<ID> Cookie Google Analytics Keeps the state of the measurement session. Set only if you accept. 24 months

The site is made of static pages and uses no technical cookies of its own: there is no login area, no basket, no session to maintain.

The server hosting the site records accesses (IP address, requested page, date and time) for security and diagnostics. That is a server operation, not a cookie, and does not require your consent.

4. Consent: how to give it and how to withdraw it

On your first visit a prompt appears at the bottom of the page with two buttons, Accept and Refuse. Until you choose, nothing is loaded: the request to Google is sent only after an «Accept».

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and Art. 6.1.a GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, and it is as simple as giving it:

Alternatively you can delete this site's cookies and storage from your browser settings (usually: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data), or visit it in a private window. Withdrawing consent does not delete data already collected by Google: for that, the retention described in section 5 applies.

5. What we measure with Google Analytics

  • Pages viewed and where the visit came from (which social network, which send, which ad).
  • Clicks on the main buttons and submission of the domain request form.

We have turned off advertising signals and ad personalization: the data is not used to profile you or to show you ads, here or elsewhere. What you type into the form is not sent to Google: how it reaches us is described in the privacy notice for website requests.

The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, acting as data processor. Data may be transferred to the United States with the safeguards provided by Chapter V of the GDPR. Your IP address is used by Google to derive an approximate location and does not appear in the reports we read. Retention of browsing data in Google Analytics is set to 14 months.

6. None of the usual things

To save you the question: this site has no advertising cookies, no social network pixels, no embedded maps, no embedded videos, no typefaces loaded from third parties, and no chat or heatmap tools. The only third-party provider your browser contacts, and only if you consent, is Google for measurement.

7. Your rights

You can exercise, at any time, the rights provided for in Articles 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Write to info@quantum2pi.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

The other notices: QCloak application privacy policy and requests sent from the site.

8. Changes

If the tools used or the purposes change, this page is updated with the relevant date. If the change concerns something that requires consent, you will be asked again.
